Getting on page 1 of Google with Tumblr

Tumblr is a simple yet fully featured blogging platform that we here at Mogi Marketing love and it has the added benefit of helping get your website to the first page of Google!

We have just launched our new website and are really pleased to see that Tumblr has helped take us to page one of Google for the search result ‘Mogi Marketing’ despite there being competitors with much more established websites:

This success isn’t completely coincidental (although we were surprised how quickly we’ve started ranking!) as we carefully chose the business name of Mogi to be quirky and we felt that we could, over time, dominate the search engines for our key words. Fingers-crossed we carry on!

If you want to create a Tumblr account you can do so for free and start blogging!

Welcome to our first blog post - a typical day in the Mogi Marketing office!

Welcome to Mogi Marketing (pronounced  ‘mow-ghee’ just in case you thought we are affiliated with cats in some way!)

Mogi Marketing is a digital marketing agency specialising in getting your business, project, product or service seen by the online world.

It’s always tough writing that very first blog post so I thought we’d give you a day in the life ‘snap-shot’ of what we’re doing today and that will kind of sum up what we do.

Before the first cup of coffee
One of our clients has asked us to write a blog post as part of a series where we publicise the range of their products from A-Z over the next few months (they have 60+ products!) Once it’s live we’ll push the blog post to Facebook, Twitter and their other social media channels and bookmark it on social bookmarking sites to improve their SEO.

After a cup of tea and a biscuit
Social media is a great way to get the word out about something new so today we are writing a proposal document for a competition to attract mountain bikers to the new Cognation website (due to go live at the end of the year) on behalf of Neath Port Talbot Council. It will most likely be a run on their Facebook page with a sign-up form on their website.

After lunch
Working for the Welsh Assembly and the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) Mogi has put together an e-newsletter to publicise the latest content on the 21st Century School website. This involves ensuring it is translated into Welsh and all the content is correct on the website.

As you can see lot’s happens even on a Friday!

Welcome to Mogi Marketing!

This is our first post and as such we’re just seeing how the content will look when live on our blog. There will be a lot of customisation happening in the next few weeks so make sure you come back and see how we’re getting along.

In the meantime we would like you to help us by offering suggestions about our logo? Do you like it? Would you change it and if so what ideas have you got?
